Baobab Fruit Pulp (Baobab Powder) is a naturally dehydrated fruit powder obtained from the fruit of the Baobab tree (Adansonia digitata). Baobab fruits naturally dry on the branch as they ripen, and the fruit pulp is isolated from the shell, seeds and funicles (internal fruit fibres) by mechanical separation. No heat or additional processes are applied and no preservatives or additives are added.
Harvesting baobab fruit protects the trees from habitat loss through creating local economic incentives. Baobab fruit is wild harvested and supports livelihoods across rural communities in 30+ African countries.
